A cable car service has been started in Chandragiri Hills of Kathmandu Valley. The Chandragiri Cable car project is being developed by a privately owned company Kathmandu Fun Park Ltd. The cable car is 2.5 kilometers long from Godam (Thankot) to Chandragiri Hills. The cable car has a capacity to serve 1000 people in one hour and will be operated for atleast 12 hours a day. The total time from Thankot to Chandragiri hills is around 9 minutes and will be a thrilling experience for cable car riders.

The top and bottom stations of the cable car will provide full facilities, like food court, restaurant and bar, branded shops, banking services and parking. In addition, a fun park is also scheduled to be developed in the bottom station.
