Chitwan National Park is one of the UNESCO world heritage sites in Nepal. It is 150 kilometers south of Kathmandu. Jungle safari in Chitwan national park on elephant back is one of the thrilling experiences. It is rich in flora and fauna. One of the last populations of single-horned Asiatic rhinoceros inhabit the park, which is also one of the last refuge for the endangered Royal Bengal Tigers. The Terai region can get rather hot during summer months and temperate during winters. It is recommended that visitors carry cool clothes, good walking shoes, shady hat and sunscreen during the summer. The rainy season brings mosquitos and leeches in the jungles. Mosquito repellant, anti-diarrhea tablets and anti-histamines can be handy during the summer and rainy months.

Detailed Itinerary
Day 01: Drive Kathmandu - Chitwan.
Take a tourist bus from Kantipath in the morning at 7:00 AM and drive to Chitwan. Chitwan is 150 kilometers away from Kathmanud. It takes around 5 and half hour to reach to Chitwan National Park. Upon reaching Bus station at Chitwan you will be picked up and transfer to Hotel. You will be welcomed by a non alcoholic drinks. You will be given short briefing about the chitwan trip and you can enjoy your lunch at Hotel. After having Lunch you will be taken to visit Elephant stable, tharu village tour, museum tour and enjoy sunset in the evening. Overnight at Chitwan.
Day 02: Jungle Activities.
Wake up in the morning have breakfast and continue Jungle Activities. Dugout canoeride with Elephant Breeding Centre, Elephant back safari, tharu cultural program (local community of chitwan). Overnight at Chitwan.
Day 03: Drive Chitwan - Kathmandu.
Wake up early in the morning for bird watching have breakfast and take a tourist bus back to Kathmandu.
