Manasalu the 8th highest mountain in the world was first climbed by the Japanese expedition group in 1956. Trekking in Manaslu region opened in 1992 which ofers a combination of rich cultural heritage, unsurpassed beauty and a great bio-diversity. The trekking around beautiful Manasalu region which started in 1991 offers you a very unique opportunity to experience relatively "untouched" region of Nepal and provides spectacular beauty along the border of Nepal and China allowing organized trekking groups special permits to venture round its spectacular circuit. The treks starts from the historic city of Gorkha (ancient palace of King Prithivi Narayan Shah) and goes along Budhi Gandaki, through Nupri region largely in habitant by descendants of Tibetan migrants. After all Manaslu region is one of the most interesting place to trek in Nepal.

 

This Round Manaslu trek starts from Gorkha which is the historical town, or the district called Dadhing. Mainly the panoramic views of Annapurna Manaslu (8156m), Sringi Himal (7187m), and Ganesh Himal (7406m) are the attraction of this trek. The culture and religion of the upper area also an interesting fact for all. The Tibetan style Gompas are seen on the way.
