08 Nights/09 Days

Itinerary:

Day 01: Arrive Kathmandu pickup from airport and drive to Nagarkot. Overnight at Nagarkot.

Nagarkot
Nagarkot is one of the most scenic spot situated about 35 km east of Kathmandu from where an excellent view of snow-capped peaks of the Himalayan Ranges in eastern Nepal can be seen (if weather permits), as well as renowned for the spectacular sunrise.

Day 02: Drive Nagarkot – Pokhara, evening free and relax Overnight at Pokhara.
Pokhara
The rare combination of snow clad peaks, snow fed lakes and rivers has helped to make the Valley of Pokhara (210 km./131 miles from Kathmandu) one of the most picturesque natural attractions in the Kingdom.
A must for all visitors to Pokhara Valley is the Phewa Lake. A half day excursion of the Pokhara Valley.

Day 03: Pokhara Sightseeing, Overnight at Pokhara.
Have breakfast and begin Pokhara sightseeing. Visit: Gupteshwor Mahadev Cave, Devis Fall, Bindabashini Temple, seti gorge, Tibetan refugee camp and one hour boat ride in Fewa Lake.

Day 04: Drive Pokhara – Chitwan, Overnight at Chitwan.
Have breakfast in the morning and drive to Chitwan. Chitwan is around 5 hours drive from Pokhara, Check in at Hotel. In the evening watch traditional tharu folk dance.

Day 05: Jungle Activities in Chitwan National Park overnight at Chitwan.
In the morning have breakfast and begin jungle activities such as Elephant ride, Canoe trip, Jungle walk, Bird watching, Village tours visit to Elephant breeding center etc.

Day 06: Drive back Chitwan – Kathmandu, Overnight at Kathmandu.
Have breakfast and get ready to drive back to Kathmandu. On the way Manakamana darshan by cable car. Check in at Hotel and evenings is free and relax.

Day 07: Full Day sightseeing, overnight at Hotel.
After having breakfast get ready for sightseeing. Visit: Pashupati Nath Temple, Boudha Nath Stupa and Bhaktapur  Durbar Square.

Pashupatinath Temple
Situated 5 kilometers east of Kathmandu city, Pashupatinath temple is one of the holiest Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Shiva. Situated amidst a lush green natural setting on the bank of the sacred Bagmati River, the temple built in pagoda style has gilted roof and richly Carved silver doors. Visitors will be permitted to view the temple from the east bank of river Bagmati, entrance in the temple being strictly forbidden to all non Hindus. Pashupatinath is the center of annual pilgrimage on the day of Shivaratri which falls in the month of February/March. Behind the temples are the cremation grounds.

Bouddhanath Stupa
This Stupa situated 11km/7 miles from Kathmandu City is one of the biggest in the world of its kind. It stands with four pairs of eyes in the four cardinal direction keeping watch for righteous behavior and human prosperity. This Buddhist Stupa was built by King Man Deva at the advice of the goddess Mani Jogini. It is built on an octagonal base inset with prayer wheels. The shrine is surrounded by houses of Lamas or Buddhist priests.

Bhaktapur Durbar Square
Bhaktapur is also known as “the city of Devotees”. It is located at a distance of 14 km east of the capital. The ancient city covers an area of four squares miles, which still retains the medieval charms and treats its visitors with many wonders of historical, cultural and artistic achievements. The historic city was the capital of Kathmandu Valley between the 14th and 16th centuries. Much of the town’s great architectures dates from the end of the 17th century during the rule of King Bhupatindra Malla before the valley were divided into three smaller kingdoms (Bhaktapur, Patan and Kathmandu)

Day 08: Full Day sightseeing, overnight at Hotel.
Visit: Swayambhu Nath Stupa , Kathmandu durbar square and Patan durbar square. Breakfast at hotel in the morning and sightseeing begins.

Swayambhunath Stupa (Monkey Temple) 
The world’s most glorious Buddhist Chaityas built 2000 years ago is situated on a hillock about 77 meter above the level of Kathmandu valley. Visitors will also have a grand view of the valley from this spot.

Kathmandu Durbar Square  
Kathmandu Durbar Square, with its old temples and palaces, epitomizes the religious and cultural life of the people. The kings of Nepal were crowned and solemnized here. Interesting sites are Taleju temple, gigantic figure of Kalbhairav (the god of destruction), Basantapur Durbar, and Temple of Kumari (living goddess).

Patan Durbar Square
Patan Durbar Square boasts of many famous sites and unique architecture. Krishna Mandir in this Square was built to honor an incarnation of Vishnu. One of the best examples of stone architecture in the world, scenes from Mahabharat, Asia's greatest mythological war, is carved on the temple's walls. Home to traditional artists and sculptors, one can find more temples dedicated to Ganesh (the elephant-headed god), Shiva, Narsingha, Taleju, and others are located at Patan Durbar Square.
